Examples of my work (click to see photos and more about the project):
The clients came to me needing help furnishing their 6500 sq. ft. Mediterranean style home. We worked together choosing the perfect pieces for almost every room. The overall look and feel of the furnishings is eclectic with influences of Moroccan, Asian, and traditional antiques. There is an elegant, sophisticated, clean and refined feel throughout the home. With adding the final touches of window treatments, artwork, and accessories from around the world, we were able to achieve the feel the clients were looking for.
I transformed a guestroom / playroom into a baby girl's nursery. The project entailed replacing the carpet, painting the room, designing the window treatments, selecting bedding for the crib and twin bed, as well as, accessorizing the room with artwork, a table lamp, and dresser drawer knobs. The overall look of the nursery was soft, feminine and fresh.
My client's 5 year old son was outgrowing his little boy room and his baby boyish decor had to go. I gave the room a more sophisticated yet youthful feel with the Ralph Lauren striped wallpaper, navy blue carpet, espresso-stained bunk-bed with brown and blue plaid bedding and the tailored denim roman shades. I accessorized with graphic sports prints. This is a room that my client's son can grow into for many years.
My client wanted her young grandchildren to have a more inviting and engaging feel when they would visit and sleep over at her house. I put a youthful, fresh and fun flair on the previously outdated and very repetitive floral patterned decor in the guest room. The project consisted of replacing the carpet, painting the bedroom and adjoining bathroom, reupholstering a daybed and chair and finishing off the look of the bedroom with artwork, pillows, toys, and a fun wall clock.
For some clients I am on the search for that one perfect piece of furniture to complete a room, to fill the void of the empty space. Some clients are looking to replace old and worn pieces. I had a client who needed both to finish off her breakfast nook area and den. She had specific needs for an entertainment unit, so we had her unit custom-made to her specifications. As the designer, I had to make sure all of her components, tv, dvd's, etc, fit properly into its place. More importantly, I had to make sure the unit would fit through the door being its immense size. We were able to tie the entertainment unit and the breakfast nook dining chairs together with an exact stain match.
This client's Hawaiian vacation home needed a lot of furniture. Tackling a project of this scale has to be done on a room by room basis. We sat down with the floorplan and selected furniture that tied in to the Polynesian/Tropical ambience. Bedding, towels, picture frames, china, throw blankets and artwork were used to complete the look and feel of Hawaii.
